SMA lignin fiber is an organic fiber obtained by chemical treatment of natural wood, mainly used in road paving and is an indispensable stabilizer. Lignin fibers are usually flocculent or pellet, white or grayish white in color. Divided into fibers of different lengths and thicknesses to meet the needs of different application materials.It does not affect the environment, is harmless to human health, and belongs to green and environmentally friendly products, which other mineral fiber does not possess.
Lignin fiber is a kind of high-performance and high-quality fiber to extend the life of asphalt pavement. It can firmly form a layer of asphalt protective film on the surface of asphalt aggregate, and because of the fiber itself, it can make the asphalt film thicker, thus greatly improving the anti-aging ability of asphalt pavement, extending the life of asphalt pavement, and preventing asphalt loss due to high temperature caused by hot weather.
Lignin fiber is suitable for road engineering such as SMA (Asphalt Macadam) asphalt pavement, OGFC open graded anti-skid structure high-speed pavement, fiber-reinforced asphalt pavement, etc. Its role in asphalt concrete is as follows:
Adsorption effect - Fibers can increase the adhesion between asphalt and mineral powder, greatly improve the viscosity of asphalt mastic, enhance the bonding ability between aggregates, and play a role in strengthening asphalt mixtures.
Reinforcement effect - Fibers form a three-dimensional mesh reinforcement in asphalt mixtures. At low temperatures, it has a certain degree of anti cracking effect.
Stabilizing effect - Fibers can stabilize asphalt membranes. At high temperatures, the internal space of the fibers absorbs some of the heated and expanded asphalt, preventing it from becoming free asphalt and thus preventing oil bleeding, improving high-temperature stability.
Dispersion effect - Granular lignin fibers have good dispersibility, which can evenly disperse components such as asphalt and mineral powder in the mixture. Prevent the formation of gel like substances that can cause road oil stains.
Thickening effect - Granular lignin in asphalt mixture adsorbs more asphalt through the adsorption of asphalt on the fiber surface. Make the surface of the aggregate form a thicker asphalt structure film, improving the durability of the mixture.
Usage and dosage:
Usage: Add during dry mixing of asphalt mixture, usually with a dosage of 0.3-0.35% of the mixture mass.
